We love PETA's ads and we hope you do too. But,
please be aware, there is some nudity involved. While we find the ads to
be tasteful and completely inoffensive, you may have a different
opinion. If you are sensitive to nudity of any kind, please skip to
another page.
We also LOVE these celebrities who care enough to pose
for these ads - they're beautiful inside and out! A picture is, indeed,
worth a thousand words. |

Bea Arthur Still Fighting McDonald's
Cruelty |
How can you not love Bea Arthur? During her life, she was a
staunch supporter of animal rights and she's still fighting cruelty
after her death. Here is PETA's new campaign poster aimed at
McDonald's cruel slaughter methods. Please note that Ms. Arthur's image
was used with her approval
and that of her family. She left money to PETA in her will to
pressure McDonald's to switch to a less-violent, USDA-approved chicken
slaughter method. PETA says it would spare birds of broken legs
and being scalded to death in de-feathering tanks. McDonald's CEO,
Jim Skinner, refuses to make the switch even though the less-cruel
method is supported by McDonald's own animal welfare advisors.

In
honorary PETA director and the winner of multiple PETA
Humanitarian Awards, Bea Arthur joined PETA in 1987, when the
Golden Girls did an anti-fur episode and Arthur, Rue McClanahan
and Betty White filmed a PETA anti-fur PSA on the set of the
show.
A tireless advocate for animals, Bea
campaigned against the force-feeding of ducks in the foie gras
trade, traveling to London with PETA President Ingrid E.
Newkirk, where she called on Harrod's to stop selling the
cruelly made pâté. She was particularly upset about fur and used
to place ads in playbills calling for theater patrons to have a
change of heart and donate their furs to PETA. Bea also called
for a boycott of KFC until it improves the way it raises and
kills its chickens, campaigned against animal experimentation,
spoke out about the abuse of animals on factory farms and was a
vocal opponent of the use of exotic animals in circuses. She
also helped launch and was a member of PETA’s Augustus Club,
which helps members remember PETA in their estate plans and
wills.

Dave Navarro
rocks. Whether he's touring with
Jane's Addiction, hosting his radio show
Dark Matter, or posing nude for PETA, he does it
with the style and intensity befitting a rock star.
Dave's latest gig is helping animals by baring it all in
an ad for PETA's "Ink,
Not Mink" series. Helping animals has never looked so
good!
After learning about where fur comes from, this former
fur-wearer vowed never to buy or wear fur again. Dave
tells PETA in his exclusive interview, "Several years
ago, I saw video footage of animals being skinned alive
and screaming, and it, it honestly is the most horrific,
inhumane thing I've ever seen." These animals are often
still
conscious as they have their pelts peeled off their
writhing bodies and can be heard screaming in pain.
Buying and wearing fur promotes an industry filled with
cruelty and suffering. Dave explains, "Some of the
simple things you can do to help save animals is not buy
fur, stay away from products that have been animal
tested. It's really very, very simple to just support
something or buy something that doesn't brutalize
animals like this."

Real Housewives of New York's Bethenny
Frankel
This socialite is a reformed fur-wearer—when she learned the
truth about the
ugly fur industry, she
cleaned out her closets. Animals used for fur are often
skinned alive or
anally electrocuted to avoid damaging their pelts. Workers pull these
animals from their tiny cages and beat them, stomp on their heads, and bludgeon
them to death with metal rods.

Professional Dancer Karina Smirnoff
The 31-year-old
put her fur-wearing days behind her after watching baby
seals being clubbed to death. “I did wear fur, especially
when I was little,” she said in an interview with the animal
rights org. “But there are ways of being warm and being
fashionable without being cruel.”
“You have a choice as an individual, you have a choice in
the press, in the world, whether to make a statement that
you do support killing animals or make a statement when you
don’t,” she added. “And you can still be as chic as you can
possibly want to be.”

Khloe Kardashian
Khloe gives
up fur and
answers
criticism.
"As some of
you might have
seen today,
there are
several people
who have taken
to the web
calling me a
hypocrite and
posting photos
of me wearing
fur," she
writes. "The
reason PETA
approached me
initially is
because in my
past I did wear
fur and they
wanted to
educate me on
the brutal ways
in which animals
are skinned for
their pelts."
After
watching a PETA
video, she
writes, "I was
so horrified
that I
immediately
swore off fur. I
just wanted to
let you know the
real story
behind my
conscious
decision and
compassionate
change of heart.
I have changed
my ways and I
hope that many
other people
will as well."
